Billing & Credits
BioNodulo uses a credit-based hybrid model: a monthly subscription provides a pool of credits, and you spend credits per-second only while workflows execute. Building and editing are always free.
1 credit = $0.01 USD. A simple mental model: a credit is a cent.
How you’re billed
- Subscription floor. Each tier includes a monthly credit allowance.
- Per-second execution. Credits burn while a run is active, at a rate set by the resource tier you choose for that run.
- No charge for idle. Editing, sitting in the dashboard, and scaled-to-zero pods cost nothing.

Compute burn rates
You pick any CPU and RAM per job (minimum 4 GB per vCPU); the billed rate is the larger of the two dimension rates:
- 0.00127 credits/sec per vCPU (≈ $0.046/vCPU-hour)
- 0.000195 credits/sec per GB RAM (≈ $0.007/GB-hour)

GPU workers add 0.025 credits/sec per A10 (≈ $0.90/hr) on top of the CPU/RAM formula; multi-GPU workers (up to 4 A10s) multiply that accelerator portion.
Rates sit just under equivalent AWS on-demand pricing. Storage beyond your plan’s included allowance (5 GB on Free, 0 on paid) is metered automatically at 3 credits per GB-month, there is no storage cap.

One-time credit top-ups are purchased in Settings → Billing (Stripe Checkout):

Top-up rules
- Roll-over. Monthly subscription credits reset each billing cycle; purchased top-up credits roll over and stay valid for 12 months.
- Auto-top-up. Automatic recharge below a balance threshold is planned.
- Usage alerts. Notifications fire at 50%, 80%, and 95% of your monthly allocation.
- Credit exhaustion. Cloud execution depends on available credits, top up in Settings → Billing when you run low.
AI paper analysis
AI/DOI analyses are free, no credits are consumed. See AI Paper Analysis.
Managing billing
All subscription and top-up payments are handled via Stripe. Manage your plan, payment method, and invoices in Settings → Billing.
