Billing & Credits
BioNodulo uses a credit-based hybrid model: a monthly subscription provides a pool of credits, and you spend credits per-second only while workflows execute. Building and editing are always free.
1 credit = $0.01 USD. A simple mental model: a credit is a cent.
How you’re billed
- Subscription floor. Each tier includes a monthly credit allowance.
- Per-second execution. Credits burn while a run is active, at a rate set by the resource tier you choose for that run.
- No charge for idle. Editing, sitting in the dashboard, and scaled-to-zero pods cost nothing.

Compute burn rates
Credits are charged per second based on the instance size:

When monthly credits run out, buy more — no workflow gets paused mid-run:

Top-up rules
- Roll-over. Credits roll over for 12 months.
- Auto-top-up. Optionally charge your card when the balance drops below 100 credits.
- Usage alerts. Notifications at 50%, 80%, and 95% of your monthly allocation.
- No hard stops. Overages draw from your top-up balance rather than pausing active workflows.

Managing billing
All subscription and top-up payments are handled via Stripe. Manage your plan, payment method, and invoices in Settings → Billing.
